Cash Bonus

A cash bonus program is designed by a retailer of products or services to get you to buy something in exchange for a cash bonus, a rebate, a reward or a discount on products and services sold by the company.

Let’s look at some examples. First you should understand that a cash bonus is not really free money. When you sign up for a credit card, frequent flyer card, online casino membership or a casino card at your local casino and you spend money on their goods or services, on travel, or on gambling you get a cash bonus, or discounts.  

Local restaurants, grocery stores and clothing retailers give you discounts when you register for store cards and purchase their merchandise. You might get a free turkey at Thanksgiving, and sometimes you’ll get a discount on other products. In some instances you get a percentage cash bonus based on the total annual purchase you make on the card, or you could get a free airline ticket.

Online cash bonus programs work in much the say way. If you are a member of an online book store and you buy a book, you get a cash bonus, or a discount or in some cases free shipping. Though it is not truly free money, you could look at it this way.  

Why not buy from a retailer who gives you something in return for the purchase rather than buying from a company that gives you nothing in return other than the product you bought? If you look at it that way, a cash bonus or rewards programs is not so bad. You get what you bought and a little more - a rebate or a small cash bonus check each year, or a discounted hotel room or coupon for a rental car.
